Turbulence: Watercolor + Magic

Turbulence: Watercolor + Magic is a video of my work that searches for the sweet spot between order and chaos. The inspiration for the plane symmetry comes from the San Ildefonso Pueblo's ceramic designs. After combining it with the turbulence caused by Ken Perlin's noise and the stochastic nature of watercolors, harmony somehow exists. Additional inspiration came from Jean Tinguely's drawing machines and Edward Ihnatowicz's SAM. Herbert Weiner's ideas on Cybernetics, and Dorothy Washburn and Donald Crowe's Symmetries of Culture were influential as well.
